Opinion piece writing — course at the University Post

Opinion pieces — Where do you start? Should you save your best points for the end? What is a good headline? The University Post wants to guide you through a good featured comment/opinion piece.

[The mini-course will be held in Danish, but all opinion pieces are of course welcome in English on the University Post. ]

Drop by the University Post for a mini-course on how to write a good featured comment/opinion piece. With a series of mini-talks over the course of one hour, the newsroom will offer its take on how you can become even better at expressing yourself, so we have a lively public debate.

We will discuss how to develop your idea, and how best to unfold it in an opinion piece.

The course is for all UCPH students and staff

Maybe you are already a tireless writer of featured comments on the University Post. Maybe you are someone who would like to take part in the debate, but has not yet made their debut in writing. The course is for all of you, regardless of whether you are a student at the University of Copenhagen, an employee, or something completely different.

After the course, you will be equipped to write a piece that best focusses on your most important points, and that is more easily accepted for publication.

Anyone affiliated with the University of Copenhagen is welcome to drop by. The course takes place at the University Post newsroom:

23 March 4-5 pm at Købmagergade 52, 2nd floor

If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry. We will do another mini-course in six months time.

Please sign up as attending on the Facebook event so we have an idea of how many people are coming.
