I am the victim, says Milena Penkowa to tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet. And Rector Ralf Hemmingsen is a 'wimp'
She is the victim of a plot, and her enemies have been set on besmirching her reputation with lies, insinuations, and allegations of sex scandals. This is according to Milena Penkowa who has been interviewed by tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet as reported in the English-language website Seven59.dk.
The neuro-scientist is accused of scientific fraud and misappropriation of research grants.
She dismisses the Rector of the University of Copenhagen Ralf Hemmingsen as a »little wimp« who is incapable of making a decision because certain individuals are trying to oust him in a coup.
»And they will probably succeed«, she says.
In the wake of the scandal, Ms Penkowa has lost her professorship, seen all her research projects shelved, and is now unemployed. She claims to have been offered jobs abroad and in the private sector in this country.
»The only thing that counts for me is what my professional colleagues think of my work«, she says, adding that her research is groundbreaking and that her results are provocative.
