The seal, washed up on the beach, was identified by the University's marine research station Øresundsakvariet halfway between Helsingør and Hellebæk on the Øresund
The marine research station Øresundsakvaritet of the University of Copenhagen is jubilant: They have sent out a press release and pictures.
It is all about Halichoerus grypus, a hooked-nosed sea pig, better known as a grey seal, which according to Wikipedia is found on both shores of the North Atlantic Ocean, but seldom in these waters.
The young grey seal was found beached to the northwest of Helsingør. It was probably born in December. Take a look at the releasehere, for more photos.
