Rankings — The University of Copenhagen has dropped from number 109 to 116 on the Times Higher Education list of the world's best universities. UCPH is still Denmark's best university.
Each year a number of international rankings are published that compare universities to each other.

According to one of the most internationally recognised rankings, Times Higher Education (THE) for 2019, the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) has dropped seven places from number 109 to 116. But despite the decline, UCPH is still Denmark’s best higher education institution according to the list.
Aarhus University dropped from the 109th spot (which it shared with UCPH last year) to 123. There are a total of four Danish universities on the list compared to seven last year.
The list includes more than 1,250 higher education institutions throughout the world. The study looks at a number of different criteria: Teaching (counts for 15 per cent), research (18 per cent), number of citations, international outlook, and cooperation with companies.
