Denmark is an attractive destination for young Greeks who, disillusioned with the situation in their own country, are starting to look abroad for work and education
The Danish Embassy in Athens, Greece has experienced a growing number of inquiries from young adults interested in studying or working in Denmark, writes Seven59.dk and Politiken.dk.
Greece is now in the eye of a European political hurricane, as its government struggles to meet payroll.
Danish ambassador Tom Nørring says that with youth unemployment now running at over 40 per cent, many young Greeks have had enough and are looking for an opportunity to leave the crisis-hit country.
Budget cutbacks in education have hit both students and staff, as reported by the University Post in connection with the looming crisis last year.
