Sexual and reproductive rights in Europe have over the past few years been strategically eroded. A clear picture is emerging of the rise and power of the anti-gender movement in a European context – the questions then become: who are the actors, how have they gained ground, and what is needed to preserve and promote sexual and reproductive rights?
Come and hear Neil Datta, the director of the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual & Reproductive Rights (EPF), tackle these questions when he talks about how anti-rights and religious extremist actors have increasingly gained access to political power, developed their international networks, and what new strategies they have employed to take over political parties, institutions, and states.
Following the keynote Frida Hviid Broberg will take us deeper into a conversation about some of the strategies that anti-rights movements are employing and what resistance might look like.
