Chinese university to partner with Copenhagen

DANISH NEWS - In two weeks' time, University of Copenhagen will begin a partnership with the Chinese Fudan University of Shanghai

The University of Copenhagen is preparing to welcome a new partner – the Chinese Fudan University of Shanghai, one of the world’s leading universities, reports seven59.dk and borsen.dk.

A new centre – the Fudan-Europe Centre for Modern and Comparative China Studies – will open in two weeks’ time. Fudan set up a similar arrangement in California last year.

President of the Fudan University, Yang Yuliang, said it was a ‘great honour’ to work with the University of Copenhagen and expressed hope that the new centre would create a platform for the exchange of ideas and views between Chinese and European scientists and researchers: “We also expect the centre to promote mutual understanding, one of the most significant factors for a more harmonic world,” he said.
