Danish students can now borrow DKK 100,000 to go abroad

New law enables students to obtain a loan to finance a study programme abroad

From now on, Danish students who want to go abroad, but lack the funding to do so, can borrow up to DKK 100,000 [EUR 13,500, ed.] from the Danish state.

The proposal was approved in Parliament 30 April , and is designed to make it easier for Danish students to obtain international experience.

“It will benefit both the individual student and the Danish society, when students travel abroad to study, and bring back new knowledge and international competencies. I have a vision that all students in the future will have some international element in their education”, says Minister of Education, Morten Østergaard to B.dk.
