Denmark is the fourth most prosperous country in the world. At least according to a new study that ranks Norway in top place
The think tank Legatum Institute places Denmark behind Norway, Switzerland, and New Zealand, according to Seven59.dk. Russia was the worst-performing country in Europe, falling seven places to 68th.
Legatum rated 142 countries in its 2014 Prosperity Index by looking at eight categories, including education, health, personal freedom, safety and security and entrepreneurship.
Denmark’s best performance is on the Entrepreneurship & Opportunity sub-index, where it ranks 2nd. It ranks low on the economy sub-index, where it comes in 18th.
