Text of request for information sent to Department of Biology regarding the two-paper-copy rule for all reference texts
The University Post contacted the Department of Biology via e-mail because behind every rule there should be an explanation. We also tried in vain by phone.
This is the text of the e-mail:

Dear Sir, Madam,
I am writing to you on the behalf of the University Post. We received a letter that brought to our attention that students have to print their papers in 2-3 copies, including 10 most important papers cited in them. We would like to get a confirmation that the system actually works like this, what are the exact rules. And maybe you could also give a brief comment on why printing out the papers is necessary (instead of sending in the papers electronically)?
We would be extremely grateful for your help!
Yours faithfully,
Kädi Ristkok
