Guide to Fashion Week parties

Our colleagues on Danish-language website Uniavisen.dk put together a guide for the best parties happening during Fashion Week. Here is a minimal version with names and locations

Free admission

For those of us that want to take part in all the festivies but don’t have the bank account to support it, check out the free admission parties below:

Rains Fashion Week Party, Friday kl. 22-05, Bakken, Flæsketorvet 17, København V.

Soundvenue og U.S. Import Fashion Week Party, Friday kl. 23-04, Kayak Republic, Børskaj 12 (under Knippelsbro), København K.

Gift bags and makeovers

A number of the shops in the city are participating in Fashion Week by giving out gift bags, champagne, complimentary makeovers, and even a chance to win a new pair of jeans. Check out offers from The Body Shop, Sephora, Stella Nova, Cheap Monday, and other shops in the city.

Fashion Night Out, Friday until kl. 21, shops in the city.

»I’m on the list«

So you want the free champagne, but you don’t know where to sign up. See below for two exclusive events that require guest list sign up. A tip: when getting dressed, black is the new black.

Head to Amager for a party in an old workshop, complete with custom made retro motorcycles. Remember to bring cash for beer.

Iron and Denim Power Meet, Thursday – Saturday, kl. 10-22, Garagen, Uplandsgade 72, København S.

Although not entirely free, all entrance fee proceeds will be sent to Africa. This is Fashion Week’s closing party, and everyone is welcome.

Fashion at the museum

Fashion week isn’t only about catwalks and models, is it? Head to Cinemateket for screenings and lectures on historical fashion film.

On the same day, students get access to the Design Museum Denmark. Here, two of the greatest men in Danish Fashion, Mads Norgaard and Henrik Vibskov, talk about the relationship between fashion, music and identity.

Fashion in Film Festival, Friday – Wednesday, Cinemateket, Gothersgade 55, København K.

Modesalon, Wednesday 6. February kl. 16-17, Designmuseum Danmark, Bredgade 68, København K. Registration required.
