Photo Competition: Show us your room

Last chance! Send us a photo of your room before tonight at 24:00 and win tickets to the NorthSide Festival

Do you sleep on a huge bed – or a little sofa? Do you have loads of books or a wall of CDs? Do posters or photos decorate your walls?

We are curious! The picture can be of anything, as long as it’s your room. Give the picture a name and a caption (a one sentence description of what the photo is) and send it to us for a chance to win NorthSide festival tickets. To ensure authenticity, the photo must, somehow, include the words ‘University Post’.

Let’s get behind the brick walls into the warm home sweet Copenhagen homes of students and staff from the University of Copenhagen. Taking a peek has never been easier!

Win festival tickets

All you have to do is send us a photo of your room before 23 May, 2012. The editorial team will upload them onto our site. During the following week the photos will be judged in a poll by our readers. The photo with most votes, wins.

The lucky winner will receive three NorthSide festival tickets (worth about DKK 4,200) see box on upper right for details. Runner-up will receive two tickets, (worth about DKK 2800). The winner will be announced Thursday, 31 May 2012.

Remember, you don’t have to be a professional photographer or have a fancy room. Photos will be chosen for originality, humour or the story behind the picture. Get snapping!

Applicants must be affiliated to the University of Copenhagen – alumni, student or staff.

Send your photo with a title and caption to together with your contact details.

Deadline for submission of photo is Wednesday, 23 May 2012.

Voting takes place in a poll open to all readers from 23 May – 31 May 2012 on

The winner is announced 31 May, 2012 by e-mail.

Should the winner not want the prize, the runner up gets first prize, runner-up prize goes to third etc.

University Post holds the right to select the photos uploaded to our site. Provocative or in any way rude photos will not be uploaded and thereby disqualified from the competition.

Participants sending in a photo entry must be the photographer of the sent-in photo.

Participants may only send in one photo entry.

By taking part you accept that the University Post may publish the photo, credited with your name on the by-line.
