Refrain from reviewing manuscripts, applications and other material from the Russian Federation

Dear fellow scientists of all ages.

In the current crisis, Russia is denying facts and oppressing free opinion and communication. These are the very basic values and resources of science, and we therefore have to object as scientists.

We have one important tool we can use against this terrible development:  we can refrain from reviewing any manuscripts, applications and other material from the Russian Federation. It is a pity for the many decent Russian scientists who also object to this crisis, but this is the option we have as individuals.
