Schizophrenia and snacks at Centre for Subjectivity

One of the most mysterious and obscure research centers on campus is inviting students and staff into their facilities to introduce their main research area: "The Self"

On 26 February you can get a mind-knowing experience, when Center for Subjectivity Research hosts an afternoon of interdisciplinary lectures and talks, followed by an open house reception.

“We have existed as a research center since 2002 and moved to the faculty of humanities in 2006, and although we have had countless workshops, conferences and events, we have never given an all round intro to our research activities, so better late than never” says Dan Zahavi, Professor at CFS.

The main research focus over the years have been on self and other and on how ideas in the philosophical tradition can be put to contemporary and interdisciplinary use.

Schizophrenia and snacks

On the presentation menu, you find shame, Schizophrenia and psychosis and the centre promises new perspectives on what ‘you’, ‘me’ and ‘us’ means from a phenomenological angle.

“I promise it will be a lot of fun. We are working on a lot of exciting projects, and the enthusiasm of the speakers will be quite manifest – plus there is free wine and snacks afterwards”, says Dan Zahavi.
