More than half of international students at the University of Copenhagen have gone back to their home countries due to the coronavirus pandemic. For those that have opted to stay, student life is tough.
1,700 international students have a total of DKK 123 million in Danish SU student loans which are they are not repaying. But the EU Commission does not plan to help the Danish government recover its debts.
An EU court ruling has forced the Danish government to allow the payment of SU study grants to non-Danes who also work in the country. See here if you can apply (updated July 2016)
