Top hundred richest people in Denmark 2015

The Kirk Kristiansen family, owners of toy giant LEGO, are again ranked no.1 on Berlingske Business Magazine’s annual list of the 100 richest Danes with an estimated wealth of DKK 122.7bn (€17bn), adding DKK 25.1bn since last year, according to Seven59.dk.

The Holch Povlsen family, owner of the Bestseller clothing empire, come in at no.2 with DKK 36.7b, followed by Coloplast owners, the Louis-Hansen family (DKK 33.9bn), bedding king Lars Larsen (DKK 26,5bn) and Hanni Toosbuy Kasprzak (DKK 17bn), owner of the characteristic Ecco shoe chain.

Rather surprisingly, the Uggla family, the descendents of Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, have dropped to 7th place with ‘only’ DKK 11.1bn.

According to Berlingske the 100 biggest fortunes have, collectively, increased by 15% since last year, to DKK 498bn.
