University Post seeks student reporters

Can you write well? Or, do you take excellent pictures? Are you a student in Copenhagen? Then you may be one of our new student reporters.

The University Post, or, is the English-language media of the University of Copenhagen but is editorially independent of the University of Copenhagen’s management.

Each semester, we take in a number of student reporters who contribute to with reviews, reports about events, news, guides etc. You don’t need to be a major in journalism or to have spent most of your time outside the classrom editing the school paper.

For new reporters on the team, we offer a crash course in our different genres, news criteria and style of writing.

 More than anything, it is important that you love to write
 You are outgoing and have strong social skills
 You are not afraid to talk to strangers and you can easily navigate in unfamiliar territory
 You are research-savvy and problem-solving
 You are great at coming up with new ideas
 You are most likely, but not necessarily, a student at the University of Copenhagen.
 You are willing and able to participate in most of our editorial meetings, which occur about twice a month. The editorial meetings, which last about two hours, are unpaid, but the work assigned from the meetings is paid.
