Write for the University Post

Are you a good writer? A skilled photographer? An sharp cartoonist? And do you want to get even better, get feedback and work experience?

Join us at the end of August in portraying student life at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark’s leading university publication.

Outgoing or inward looking – doesn’t matter to us. As long as you bring raw talent, positive energy, and a willingness to contribute and learn to the table, you’ll get lots out of working with us. We are very ambitious and expect the same of you.

Our first introductory meeting for potenitel student reporters will be on 26 August between 1-2 pm.d on St. Kannikestræde 18, baghuset. You will have to register to attend the meeting by sending an e-mail to uni-avis@adm.ku.dk.

As a student reporter you will receive the following

– Courses in journalism
– Sparring from professional editors
– Great highs and minor lows (depending on whether your work comes to fruition or not)
– A network of writing, photographing creative forces
– Payment if we publish your work

There’s a lot of freedom in the work. As a student reporter, you will have the chance to try your hand at day-to-day news, political journalism, scientific journalism, investigative journalism, portraits, reports, guides, fun, and much more.

What you will end up doing depends largely on your own interests, ideas, and abilities – and editorial whims.

Who are we?

The University Post (in Danish Uniavisen) is the editorially independent, critical media for students and staff at the University of Copenhagen. We publish articles every day on UniversityPost.dk in English and on Uniavisen.dk in Danish. Each site has 50,000 unique visitors per months.
