Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the EU: The Anatomy of a Species

The lecture will set out the operation of the Union judiciary in Luxembourg and within that, zoom in on the particular role of an Advocate General at the Court. Where did such a “fourth in the court” come from? What are its roles? What institutional dynamics does such a function create in comparison to a high jurisdiction where there happen to be “just” the parties and the judge?

Registration: For participation in this lecture please use this registration form no later than Tuesday 6 March 2018, 12:00.
