The CPH Tech Policy Youth Committee, a committee of students interested in and wanting to impact the discussions about Tech Policy
Sophus Garfiel, Permanent Secretary of State for Digital Government and Gender Equality will introduce the Youth Committee. Hereafter a panel disucssion will follow with the overarching theme:
**Youth in the Digital World: Digital Dependencies**
The panel will be discussing questions like what are the opportunities and risks of growing up in an increasingly digitalized era? How can younger generations engage in shaping the digital landscape?
Panelists:
Malene Hornstrup Jespersen: Malene is a Ph.D-student in Social Data Science. Her research focuses on the ways in which people attempt to control their digital use, among these digital disconnection practices as well as discourses and values tied to these practices.
Sørine Vesth Rasmussen: Sørine is a Political Consultant on Tech & Violence Against Children at Children Welfare (Børns Vilkår). She is also a member of the expert group on establishing the EU age appropriate design code. Previously she has been a member of the Danish Government’s network on online sexual crimes against children.
Signe Gertz Jensen: Signe serves as UN Youth Delegate on Equality and SRSR, studies law and has 20 years of experience from the Danish Scout Corps, where she most recently worked as Deputy International Commissioner in the Girl Scouts of Denmark.
