Foredrag — 3D printers can make toys, spare parts, and even buildings, but can they make computers? In this talk, Daniel will show how 3D-printed objects can sense input, perform computation, and generate output—all without electricity. He will also discuss the many challenges that remain and present opportunities for students to get involved.

DIKU Bits is a lecture series for students (and (Ph.D.) staff) on current research at DIKU, held every other week (about 4 times in a block). The presentation level of the talks is such that a 2nd-year student (bachelor) should be able to follow along. The purpose of the talks is to inspire the choice of elective courses, writing projects, etc., but also to give greater insight into colleagues’ research areas and create a common meeting space for both staff and students.
