Human-computer interaction is beginning to involve our bodies in new and rich ways, compared for instance to mouse or touch input. This happens using gestures, movement, wearables, implantable devices, and on-skin sensing. In this talk, I present work from the BodyUI project on the use of the body as user interface, and some of the associated technical and psychological research questions.

Which courses do you teach? (BSc and MSc)
On BSc, I teach interaction design (da. interaktionsdesign); on the MSc, I teach User Interface Technologies and Advanced Topics in Human-Centred Computing.
Which technology/research/projects/startup are you excited to see the evolution of?
Right now, I am following the work of Tristan Harris with interest, for instance at http://humanetech.com/. I find he tackles an important problem.

In this lecture series you can get a closer look at the research conducted at DIKU, be motivated you to follow your interest in computer science and be inspired when choosing a subject for your bachelors project. The lectures are addressed to DIKU bachelor students – however, everyone is welcome.
