At the end of the rainbow: Winter Pride in the Studenterhuset

Diversity — Come and join in when the Copenhagen Winter Pride takes over the Studenterhuset and fills it up with a rainbow-coloured mix of events.

Bondage with ropes, a gender equality minister from the Liberal Party and trans monologues. Just some of the stuff going on when a Studenterhuset wrapped in rainbow flags is the venue for this year’s Copenhagen Winter Pride Week between the 5th and 10th February.

Winter Pride Week is an LGBT+ festival that, like the summer’s Pride Week, focuses on the LGBT+ environment’s results and challenges. The week offers a true buffet of significant, critical and witty events and you can dive into debate events and networking meetings, swing past a basic course in fetishism or participate in the workshop ‘rope bondage 101’.

The Studenterhuset will receive visits from local and international activists, speakers, and entertainers and Copenhagen Pride promises that it will be a week full of love, rainbows and diversity.

Gentlemen, start your engines

The week is scheduled for 5th February at 16.30 with an opening reception, where Karen Ellemann and board member of Copenhagen Pride Ane Rindom will focus on the LGBT+ environment’s challenges and achieved results.

After that, the programme opens with a host of different events, and you are free to discover the many nooks and crannies of the Studenterhuset. During the week, for example, you can lose yourself in talks about body positivity and self-esteem, get acquainted with the association for asexuals, go to ‘analsex 101’ in the Church Wing or listen to trans monologues in the lounge.

It will be a week filled with love, rainbows, diversity and unforgettable experiences
Copenhagen Pride

Copenhagen Pride sends a loving greeting to anyone who wants to take part:

“We are looking forward to sharing a lot of wonderful, educational and inspiring experiences with you and hope you have a great week,” they write.

Winter Pride gives the LGBT+ environment a chance to look inwards, but is also an opportunity for anyone else who wants to get an insight into the environment and the movement. The week’s programme also includes a host of external events that take place in Poesiens Hus, Skuespilhuset, Empire Bio, Christiansborg and Pumpehuset.
