Vulnerable students have been allocated DKK 5 million in a coronavirus aid package. The money will not go far, according to the Student Council at the University of Copenhagen. The Student Counselling Service says however that the grant could benefit a lot of young people.
In the beginning of January, adjustments were made to the education cap. Students are now able to study for a new free university degree six years after their final exam. According to the Minister for Higher Education and Science, Søren Pind, the new agreement will affect almost a thousand students.
New bill from the Minister for Education and Research Søren Pind (V) means that students and staff will lose their influence on the appointment of the chairman and the external members of the University’s Board of Directors.
