Copenhagen Summer University, for specialists and managers, came to an end the 24th of August. It is a program held partly in order to prove that the research done at UCPH is relevant for the outside community. So, is UCPH still relevant?
Every second student at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) experiences stress ‘often’ or ‘very often’ according to a new study from the Danish Association of Masters and PhDs DM. It is especially the examinations and the struggle for good grades that is the stress factor.

The Danish government wants to increase the total public research funding to DKK 22.2 billion on its budget. But this remains below the 2016 level before the large scale cuts. And the so-called re-prioritization contribution will continue, each year cutting two per cent from the universities’ grants for education.
First, the new Niels Bohr Building should have been completed in 2016, then in 2017, then in 2018. At present, the Danish Building and Property Agency cannot say when the construction will be ready, or how expensive it will be. The University of Copenhagen is considering refusing to take the buildings.
