It would be heavy on resources and awkward to introduce a new grade scale in Denmark, says University of Copenhagen prorector Bente Stallknecht. An evaluation shows that the Danish 7-point scale is internationally compatible, but that it requires added explanations.
For Denmark, having international students is a profitable thing. This is according to a new analysis by the universities’ interest organisation Danske Universiteter. And it applies even though international students who get SU study grants cost the Danish government DKK 400 million in defaulted debt payments.
Teaching in the English language can make UCPH students more aware of the global labour market and get foreign students and researchers to stay in Denmark, according to the Nordic Group for Parallel Language.
