Most new students on higher education programmes are women. And individual subjects are dominated by specific genders. Here are the numbers.

It is »crazy« how gender-skewed the Danish education system is. And this has serious consequences, both for higher education and for society. This is according to several organisations who now all call for action.

Record applicant numbers have meant higher admissions on almost all of the faculties at the University of Copenhagen. Yet again this year, the majority of new students are women.

The highest university admission requirements are significantly lower than last year in Denmark. This is after students no longer get a bonus for quickly starting their studies.

Anna Nørgaard Sørensen from Student Council suggests the University of Copenhagen form a committee in which students and faculty can find common ground in defining offensive behaviour.

One or more anonymous persons have allegedly attended instruction on the dentistry programme while infected with corona. They have threatened to show up to exams. The study programme’s management has informed the rest of the year cohort, but is still upholding exam schedules.

The merging of courses which set off the protests is not mentioned explicitly in the new target plan. However, according to the associate dean, this does not exclude the use of mergers in the future.

The University of Copenhagen has published student guidelines for the upcoming video conference exams.

There is too much talk about Roskilde Festival and not enough talk about the students' economic problems and concerns for the future during the corona crisis, says Johan Hedegaard Jørgensen, Chairman of the National Union of Students in Denmark.
