Jakob Dideriksen is a former legal adviser (LEGAD) of the Danish Armed Forces. He has been deployed as a LEGAD in international operations with the Danish Navy and Air Force. In 2016-17, Jakob deployed to the Combined Joint Land Component Command (land military headquarters) in the international coalition supporting Iraq against the so-called Islamic State. Based on this, Jakob will provide an insider’s view and share some of the legal challenges faced by the coalition in the fight to liberate Mosul.
