Copenhagen Nanomedicine Day 2018

Seminar — Nanomedicine is a relatively new field that is currently gaining steam and is expected to contribute to the future of health care and personalized medicine in a significant way. At the University of Copenhagen and other Copenhagen-based universities, biotechnology companies and health related institutes, there is a significant amount of research going on in the nanomedicine area. To make these efforts more visible, allow for collaborative projects, and share the available resources, we are organizing the already second Copenhagen Nanomedicine Day 2018. It will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018. In addition to local leaders in Nanomedicine, we will also have a few international speakers. They include Dr. Pieter Cullis from Vancouver, Canada, a pioneer in drug delivery of nanomedicines who developed three clinically approved nanomedicine drugs for the treatment of cancer, Dr. Silvio Dutz from Ilmenau, Germany, who will discuss the magnetically initiated remote release of drugs, and Dr. Raffaella Rossin from Nijmegen, The Netherlands, who developed an in vivo system of chemically triggered click-to-release antitumor drugs.
