Our smartphone and wearables know more about us than we can or even want to admit. In the coming years, these technologies will eventually become smarter and help us to stay healthy and achieve even better life quality in the long term. But how do they recognize our physical activity, sleep, or stress patterns? What do they know about our condition and health risks?
Come to learn about what your smartphone or wearable can do for
you and you will never look at it in the same way again.
Which courses do you teach? (BSc and MSc)
I teach KomIT, BSc: “Analysis, Design and Regulation of IT Infrastructure” (15 ECTS) and KomIT, BSc: “Design & IT” (7.5 ECTS).
Which technology/research/projects/startup are you excited to see the evolution of?
Projects: BASELINE by Google/Verily https://www.projectbaseline.com/ and AllofUs by NIH/USA https://allofus.nih.gov/, both focusing on mapping human health via daily life technologies. I would love to replicate that approach in Denmark and spread it to Europe.
What is your favorite sketch from the DIKUrevy?
Unfortunately i have not followed it enough to have a favourite one!
