The coming of age of artificial intelligence (AI) and the deployment of these technologies has led to a broad range of challenges for the legal and regulatory order. Join researchers from the University of Copenhagen, NUI Galway, VU Amsterdam, and the University of Graz as we grapple with the concept of ‘legal disruption’ precipitated by artificial intelligence. We will critically evaluate the robustness of this framework to address the challenges and opportunities provided by artificial intelligence, consider its shortcomings and propose competing frameworks for organising legal and regulatory responses, and scope out the potential for future research at the nexus between artificial intelligence and the law.

All are welcome.

Registration deadline: 25 September 2018 12:00 at the latest.
