The Royal Danish Academy of Science And Letters now offers scientist in Denmark to join ‘The Academy of Science Communication” – a course designed to boost not only dissemination efforts but to provide a network that allows researchers to improve their communication skills and actively step into the public limelight, bringing their expertise more strongly into play. The aim is to increase the amount and quality of scientific dissemination in Denmark.
Our goal is to create a community that solidly focuses on continually forming new and meaningful connections between science and society. To achieve this, course participants remain a permanent part of the Academy of Science Communication once the course concludes. Moreover, we encourage you to continue to participate in our activities in the years to come.
Dates and time
Classes will take place on Tuesdays from 4:00–7:00 pm on the following dates:
The online course comprises five three-hour classes held via Microsoft Teams and includes homework assignments. During the classes, there will be group work and feedback from other participants along the way. The classes will take place in English.
We will work on communication planning, journalistic media, social media and presentation techniques for videos and speaking live.
Being a member of the Academy of Science Communication is free of charge and open to researchers from all scientific fields.
