PhD defence: Carl-Emil Pless (IFRO)

Carl-Emil Pless will defend his PhD dissertation “Revealed Preferences and Decision-Making Theory and Evidence with Household Scanner Data” on November 21.

Carl-Emil’s thesis focuses on a few fundamental tensions and contradictions within the existing economic literature on decision-making. Through his work, he attempts to reconcile some of the conflicting evidence between theoretical and field evidence on consumer behavior and choice inconsistencies, specifically those observed in controlled experiments versus in the real world.
