About the thesis:
ANGPTL4 is a lipoprotein lipase inhibitor that has been suggested to be involved in lipid metabolism and in the pathogenesis of obesity-related diseases such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer. The thesis investigates whether ANGPTL4 concentration in plasma can be modified by a moderate dietary intervention with whole fat milk or with inulin fiber. Furthermore, data from three intervention studies were analyzed in order to investigate the effects of genetic variants, weight loss and weight maintenance on ANGPTL4.
