The Botanical Garden is home to Denmark’s largest scientific collection of plants.
In 2018 and 2019 a new temporary exhibition has been growing in the garden – The Nordic Beer Garden. Beer is based on a long, rich and important tradition in the Nordic countries. From the Viking beer to modern Nordic recipes, brewers have used a large variety of plants to create distinctive and tasty drinks that are unique to this part of the world.
For this V.I.P. event you will get a special guided tour of the historic garden from 1872 with Sam Bruun-Lund, tour guide in the Botanical garden, and a beer-themed guided tour of The Nordic Beer Garden with Zoran Gojkovic, Director of Brewing Science & Technology at Carlsberg Research Laboratory. During the tour Zoran will dive into the plants, science and research behind beerbrewing.
We finish the event with a beer tasting with two different beers and a guiding from Zoran on how to taste beers.
This event will be conducted in English.
On the Natural History Museum of Denmark’s website you can read more about the event, and about The Botanical Garden.
