Will there ever be a Palestinian State?
June 2017 will mark the 50th anniversary of the 1967 war and of Israel’s occupation of what the European Union (EU) perceives to be Palestinian (and Syrian) territories. Almost as long is the involvement of the EC/EU in the conflict, beginning with the formation of the European Political Cooperation in 1970.

On these grounds, we would like to invite you to a public lecture on the EU’s involvement in the Israeli-Palestine conflict. The lecture ‘Will there ever be a Palestinian State?’ is held by Alaa Tartir, Post Doc at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies at University of Geneva and Program Director at Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network. Alaa Tartir will be interviewed by Anders Persson, Post Doc at University of Copenhagen, followed by a Q&A from the audience.

The event takes place 8 May from 15.15 to 17.00 at Kommunehospitalet
(Øster Farimagsgade 5, 1353 København K) in room 35.01.06.

Registration is needed and can be done here.
