The Diversity and Equality Network at the University of Copenhagen invites you to its 3rd public meeting on 8th March to mark International Women’s Day. The theme for this meeting is “work in progress” where we take stock of the new initiatives at UCPH that seek to enhance the university as an equitable and diverse workplace. Our focus remains on “how-to”, on concrete actions that further these goals. To this end, we will discuss the new UCPH Action Plan for Gender Equality and Diversity 2022-2023 as well as department-level initiatives undertaken to address harassment. The idea is to keep the conversation going and maintain a collective focus on key issues central to promoting equality and diversity. We encourage participants to review the Action Plan 2022-23 in advance and come prepared to share questions and insights (see link below). The 2022 meeting features a panel of speakers and an open discussion.
Panel of Speakers
Bente Stallknecht, Prorector
Jacob Graff Nielsen, Dekan, Jura
Annika Hvithamar, Institutleder, ToRS
Christine Benna Skytte-Larsen, IGN/Science
Richard Hare, IGN/Science
The discussion will be moderated by Ravinder Kaur, Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies, Faculty of Humanities, and Rebecca Rutt, Department of Food and Resource Economics, Faculty of Science
About the Network
The Diversity and Equality Network at the University of Copenhagen was formed in 2020 to promote an equitable and diverse workplace. It is an open forum for discussion and collaboration amongst all KU employees – faculty, staff, and students – and invites broad participation. The network has focused on a range of critical issues from sexism, racism, sexual harassment to promotion policies at the university.
All are welcome!
