Abstract

What does KU has in common with the Tax Appeals Agency and the Danish Fisheries Agency?

They have many administrative processes governed by strict regulations and use KMD WorkZone to help manage the administrative cases. Inside WorkZone we now find DCR Graphs, a new declarative technology ensuring agile, compliant workflows. Come and hear about the technology developed by DCR Solutions and based on research led Thomas Hildebrandt, head of the Software, Data, People and Society Section at DIKU.

Which courses do you teach? (BSc and MSc)
I have been teaching Software Engineering and Software Architecture, and will be co-teaching Reactive and Event-based Systems and Advanced Computer Systems

Which technology/research/projects/startup are you excited to see the evolution of?
I am naturally very excited to see the progress of DCR Graphs developed by DCRSolutions.net within the EcoKnow.org research project and based on my own research and now embedded in case management systems used widely in Denmark. Besides that, I am excited to follow the development of technologies for explainable AI and privacy-by-design.

What is your favorite sketch from the DIKUrevy?
Only being employed recently at DIKU, I still look forward to attend DIKUrevyen for the first time. However, I learned about DIKUrevyen already as a PhD student in Aarhus having posters from DIKUrevyen at my office door. And having been employed at ITU since it started in 1999 I love the “Uni Park” DIKU Revy Intro from 1999.
