ISM visits The Danish Film Institute (Cinemateket) for the Danish movie Let's get lost by Jonas Elmer, who made the film by using funds provided for a short film and escalating the project economically into a full feature. The film will be in Danish with English subtitles.
There will be dinner at the University at 19:00, prior to the film. Spouses and children are welcome. However, please notice that the movie is not recommended for children under the age of 7.

Glyptoteket - 14 March, 14:00-16:00
A guided tour of the Glyptoteket museum. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is an art museum of international stature in the centre of Copenhagen. The Glyptotek houses over 10.000 works of art divided up into two principal collections. One is of works from the Mediterranean cradle of Western culture, the other of Danish and French art from the 19th and 20th centuries.
The topic of the tour will be Paul Gauguin and his short affair with Copenhagen. After the tour, we will go to Café Glyptoteket for refreshments. Spouses and children are welcome. No entry fee.

Information Meeting for International Researchers on the Annual Tax Return - 17 March, 15:00-16:00
The time for preparation of the annual tax return is approaching. The deadline is 1 May 2010.
Join ISM for advice from the Copenhagen Tax Centre, and learn how to fill out the annual tax return correctly.

Information Meeting for Newly Arrived Foreign Researchers - 18 March 15:00-17:30
International Staff Mobility arranges an information meeting for newly employed foreign researchers at Copenhagen University.
The purpose of the meeting is to give information about the university and topics related to living and working in Denmark, such as the tax system, the pension system, the health system, insurances, Danish society, the school system and leisure activities etc.

Advice from the Copenhagen Tax Centre on tax matters regarding cross-border commuters. Learn how to fill out the annual tax return correctly!

Brewery Tour - 17 April, 10:00 – 13:00
Visit the original Carlsberg Brewery, and explore the fascinating history of Carlsberg and its world famous beer. The trip around the Centre also brings you through the stables where you can experience the big Jutland dray horses. Taste a glass of Carlsberg beer or soft drink at the bar. Continue by coach to see the exterior of where it all started for Carlsberg in Brolæggerstræde, and complete the tour by beer tasting at The Brewpub - one of the local brewery restaurants in Copenhagen. After the beer tasting, you are welcome to stay for lunch at your own expense.

Canal Cruise Tour - 8 May, 10:00 – 12:00
Take a canal cruise tour and see the many sights that are best viewed from the canals and from the sea. You will see the old naval base, the cannon boat huts, the new affluent quarter, and the cosy Christianshavn, a city within the city, with the Church of our Saviour and the Black Diamond at the Royal Library. After the canal cruise, we will continue our sightseeing tour with a professional guide on a walking tour into the old and charming part of Copenhagen.
It is extremely important that you be there on time, as the boat will leave at precisely 10 o'clock.
Spouses and children are welcome. There is no fee.
